Review by hotel critic
Having stayed in the Junior suite at La Maison Du Prussien, I must say, the experience was quite memorable. The ambiance seamlessly blended with the modern bathroom, and the bed was truly comfortable. Each room in the hotel boasts a unique charm, thanks to a mix of antique and modern furnishings, providing a luxurious touch to your stay. However, it's worth noting that the hotel's charm comes at a price - the restaurant offers a fine dining experience but at a premium cost. While the breakfast served in a separate area is included in the room rate and is excellent, other meals might stretch your budget. The hotel's location, nestled almost in the heart of Neuchatel, offers a unique and secluded escape. If you're willing to trek along the waterway up the canyon, you'll be rewarded with stunning natural beauty. The hotel staff, led by Catherine and Katrina, are friendly and attentive, enriching your stay with their hospitality. In terms of amenities, the lack of an elevator might pose a challenge for some guests, but the hotel does provide assistance with luggage. The presence of a sun terrace and garden area offers a tranquil space to unwind, making it a perfect spot for relaxation. On the flip side, additional cost considerations may need to be factored in when planning your stay, especially for those seeking value without compromising on luxury.
